INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has officially named 12 outstanding members as Fellows, including ORIE's Katya Scheinberg. The 2022 INFORMS Fellows will be inducted during the INFORMS Annual Meeting, Oct. 16-19, which will be held in Indianapolis. The showcase was conceived with several purposes in mind. One was to give ORIE undergraduates a chance to share their research projects with peers, professors, grad students, and students from outside of ORIE. Another was to help build a feeling of community in the school after two long years of limited chances to socialize.
