Supply Chain

Supply chain management is the design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand, and measuring performance globally. ORIE faculty address issues in a broad range of supply chain system contexts—ranging from homeland security issues through automotive environments—to online “look-ahead” inventory policies, service-differentiated stocking policies, and stocking policies for parts with highly correlated demands.
