ORIE's role in Cornell's COVID response

In the late winter of 2020 it became clear the COVID-19 pandemic would require a sustained and adaptable response from Cornell that would be based in the latest data about the virus, transmission rates, hospital availability, and many other parameters. The School of Operations Research and Information Engineering stepped up and applied years of experience addressing complex and changeable challenges to help the University formulate an effective plan of operations that became a model for organizations around the world.
