Zhenyu Chen earned his BS degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University in 2010 with minors in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Entrepreneurship & Management.

Following graduation, he passed all three CFA exams on his first attempt while was working as a front office technology analyst at Citigroup. During his two years at Citi, he worked closely with senior quantitative analysts to develop the next generation structured credit risk computation and reporting system in Java and Clojure, a functional programming language. In addition, he also built spread sheet tools to significantly increase the efficiencies of the desk’s scenario testing, stress testing, and financial product control processes. He came to Cornell University to strength his computational and quantitative analysis skills. Post MFE, he wants to pursue a career in trading.
