Yuezhou Huang is a graduate student at Cornell University pursuing a master’s degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering with a concentration in Financial Engineering. Yuezhou received her bachelor degree with double majors in Mathematics and Economics with a concentration in Finance from University of Wisconsin Madison.

During the summer of 2014, Yuezhou interned at Royal Bank of Scotland as a credit risk analyst intern in the Risk Management group. There, Yuezhou gained exposure to risk management in investment banking. Aside from analyzing annual reports and credit data in models, she also assisted in developing a new working capital calculation form for the credit risk department. As Yuezhou grew more familiar with this process, she learned how to accurately calculate credit and default risk, and thus gained a better understanding of the distribution of unexpected financial losses.

Furthermore, Yuezhou completed a three month internship at Caitong Securities Company’s sales department. There, she used her strong quantitative skillset to learn the security market information in the debt and equity financing department.

Upon graduation, Yuezhou hopes to pursue a career in sales and trading, risk management, asset management among other financial areas.
