Tianhao Wu graduated with distinction from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in May 2010, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. During college, he worked as a research assistant in designing polysilicon flexible solar cell where he applied his analytical and quantitative skills to solve practical problems. His graduation design involved a study of renewable energy that aimed to efficiently convert waste heat from automobiles into electricity. These experiences provided him with the strong insights in the renewable energy market.

Apart from the academic experiences, Tianhao interned at Shanghai Futures Exchange as an analyst at the Products & Services department in summer 2009 with focus on gold and steel products. During the internship, he tracked the futures market and collected data to generate weekly market reports after analysis. Also, he joined training for traders at SHFE where he learned how to make decisions in the financial market.

Upon graduating from Cornell, Tianhao intends to use the skills and knowledge to tackle real problems in the dynamic fields of financial products trading, asset management or risk management.

In his spare time, Tianhao enjoys playing the piano, travelling, and swimming.
