Prerana Jakhotia graduated from the Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) in India during 2013 with a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering.

She has shown her determination and intellect by consistently being one of the top two students in her engineering program. She led the COEP Satellite Initiative that went on to build the first passively stabilized satellite of India. She was also an active member of the Production Engineering Undergraduate Committee and Coordination Team of COEP’s technical event.

Her positive and well-structured outlook made General Motors India recruit her as an Industrial Engineer. The experience provided her with a wealth of opportunities, including managing projects like manpower optimization and throughput improvement, to analyze and improve complex systems. Working closely with interdepartmental teams to execute these projects enabled her to develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels and in a variety of roles.

Following her passion for Operations Research she took the initiative to develop a supply chain network design tool and utilized it to design supply chain network for Godrej Interio.

She plans to leverage her leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills in solving complex business problems.
