Mary Tapscott graduated from Cornell University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Engineering. Upon her completion of Cornell’s Master of Engineering program in 2015, Mary hopes to work in a challenging and dynamic consulting environment where she can utilize her analytical abilities and help clients make better decisions.

Through her past internships, Mary has gained nearly a cumulative year of experience in consulting. During her time as an undergraduate, she completed Cornell Engineering’s Co-operative Education Program at LMI, a government consulting firm, where she returned this past summer. In her reoccurring time there Mary behaved as a supply chain management analyst, achieving Department of Defense Secret clearance and participating in many logistics-focused projects. Recently, Mary conducted a detailed backorder analysis which she briefed at the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Supply Chain Integration. Due to its positive feedback, her briefing is currently moving up the chain and the topic of her analysis is being pursued more deeply.

Mary is co-chair of the Master of Engineering Student Leadership Committee. On top of actively growing acquainted with her peers, Mary enjoys deep sea fishing, hiking, reading, learning how to cook, and finding great Tex-Mex restaurants when the chance arises.
