Anny Xie graduated from Renmin University of China in 2014, with a B.S. in Physics. She was also an exchange student in King’s College London in the Fall semester of 2012. Upon graduation from Cornell in May 2015, she hopes to work in an energetic company where she can work in a motivated team to drive operations value.

Anny has worked at Royal Dutch Shell for six months. With full responsibility in leading risk management project - Project Lily - in China, She had the opportunity to work closely with internal compliance risk analysis teams in the UK and US, and an external consulting firm to conduct analysis for all of Shell’s lubricant distributors in China. In order to put forward the project more smoothly and efficiently, aside from closely monitoring the timeline, she designed a new working process and engaged with liaisons from several teams to negotiate and implement the optimized process. Therefore, Anny finished Project Lily three months earlier than it took in the previous year. The challenging work she has completed coupled with an enthusiastic personality and able to engage people from different teams and fields, makes her a strong candidate for any team.

Anny Xie is very confident with her quantitative ability and technical skills. Her academic standing as the top student in the Physics Department, and as a recipient of a National Scholarship in China and full marks in GRE quantitative, have proved that she possesses a solid quantitative background. She hopes to continue her quantitative work in her future career.

In her spare time Anny likes dancing. She is good at Chinese folk dance, aerobics and latin dance. She also learned belly dance by herself.
