Laixi Wang received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Hong Kong with a major in statistics and a minor in economics. Through her undergraduate coursework, Laixi has studied a broad variety of topics in statistics, engineering and economics, which has helped her to develop a solid quantitative skill set.

In addition to her academic training, Laixi has gained professional experience in financial fields. As a summer Investment Banking analyst at Citi, she has gained first-hand experience in live M&A, IPO and bond issuance, while cultivating solid valuation analysis skills. Her summer internship at Debt Capital Market at Haitong Securities exposed her to government-sponsored enterprise debt securities and their pricing and issuance procedures. During her internship at HSBC, Laixi was given professional guidance on cash management and developed customized financial products to improve business processes.

Upon graduation, Laixi plans to further her valuation and analytical skillset by pursuing a career in investment banking, trading and asset management.
