Kerou (Cora) Gao received her bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Engineering with a concentration in Engineering Management from Beihang University. In her Supply Chain Management course project, she transferred a warehouse location problem (case) of SportStuff.com into nonlinear programming and solved the problem by programming solver tool in Excel.

While interning at SINOPEC Engineering during the winter 2016 and spring 2017, she discovered a new risk analysis approach that quantified risk event by probability and impact, and used Monte Carlo simulation for overall crisis assessment and risk prioritization. She applied this risk-driver method to one of the company’s largest-scale projects, assessed its potential overspend and delay, determined key risks and developed risk responses.

As a team leader of Situation and Policy competition in Beihang University, she combined quantitative and qualitative methods for the topic “The situation, problem and solution of Chinese Carol Industry,” successfully delivered a presentation and won the first prize in the eight-teams competition.

Cora is looking for a position in project risk management and supply chain management. In her spare time, she likes baking and jogging which can help her relieve stress.
