She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Washington where she took a particular interest in practical applications of quantitative and statistical modeling. Her Honors research applied multi-objective optimization to emergency evacuation strategy in a hospital setting which aimed to make the decision process flexible and better suited for a subjective, dynamic world.

To accomplish this, she devised a method to optimally route customer orders based on parameters such as location, backlogs and machine capabilities.

In her spare time, Karishma enjoys Bikram yoga, volleyball, and hiking.
