Joseph Li received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Cornell University in May 2011. While there, he developed a keen interest in a future career in the field of mathematical and computational finance.

After graduating, Joseph spent two years tutoring in New York City’s public school system. Joseph has exceptional analytical ability and strong problem-solving skills. He revels in the challenge of solving ambiguous or confounding problems, and is able to remain as equally attentive to fine details as the larger picture in any of the problems he undertakes. He has strong interpersonal skills, which are largely attribute to the three years he spent in tutoring young and struggling college entry-level students.

After a successful stint at teaching, Joseph returned to Cornell University to pursue a M.Eng. in Financial Engineering in hopes of furthering his technical expertise and knowledge of quantitative finance. Upon graduation, he is eager to apply what he has learned to meet the demands of a career in trading, risk management or quantitative research.
