An enthusiast for analytics and process improvement, Jessica joined the Master of Engineering program at Cornell University in the fall of 2013 with a concentration in Data Analytics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University.

Previously, Jessica had a manufacturing co-op and a procurement internship with General Electric. She demonstrated strong project management skills by delivering manufacturing instructions and sourcing projects independently and successfully. During her internship in procurement, she also gained experiences in client service, vendor relationship management, as well as sourcing skills such as drafting request for quotation, placing purchase orders and negotiating contracts with vendors.

On top of pursuing her Master’s degree, Jessica is currently a part-time intern in the Global Commodity Management department at BorgWarner Morse TEC. She extracts purchasing data from different BorgWarner plants in Europe, Asia and North America, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and leverages buying power of the company as a whole.

Jessica dedicates a large portion of her free time to performing arts. She has been playing an Asian instrument pipa for 19 years and has performed on average one concert per week during four years of her undergraduate study.
