Daniel Southern '11, M.Eng. '13

Position: Senior Director of Global Information Security

Daniel Southern leads his Strategic Intelligence program with a focus on:

• AI Governance, Risk, and Compliance oversight and operations.
• Developing ML models to automate operational security tasks
• Driving data-driven decisions 

Currently, Daniel serves as the division lead for his team of over 200 volunteers in coordination with the National Incident Management System and a founding chair of the FBI’s Blockchain Cross Sector Council. His previous experience includes serving as vice chair of the Silicon Valley Machine Learning Education Board and a member of the U.S. National Disaster Resiliency Council.
