Biography

Zhixing Huang obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Minor in Mathematics with Honors standing from Boston College in May, 2011. In the summer of 2010, she interned as a business analyst at Change Delivery Department of HSBC Group, where she rotated through Project Management Office, Core Banking, Global Market Office, and Consulting teams. Whilst there, Zhixing performed financial analysis of several business projects and assisted in writing business cases.

In her Senior Honors Thesis, she programmed with the statistical software STATA to analyze costs and benefits of rate-of-use meters and predict peak and off-peak electricity consumption in New York City for the future years.

Zhixing looks forward to gaining a better understanding of financial markets and enhancing her quantitative and computer skills through Cornell’s Financial Engineering program. Her current interests lie in asset management, risk management, and consulting.

In her spare time, Zhixing enjoys reading, cooking and travelling around the world.
