Yibing received his Bachelor degree in Peking University, where he was awarded Merit Scholarship and won the prize of distinguished undergraduate research and prize of Mathematical Modeling contest. And he is also the gold medal winner of National Physics Olympic contest.

During the college research, he was the leader of a four-person team working on analyzing and selecting the best design through Monte Carlo Method for Resistive Plate Chamber Detector among several other optional schemes. And he also participated in construction work for the final detector which is used as part of LHC in European Organization for Nuclear Research. Before coming to Cornell he attended internship and training program at ICBC, the Biggest commercial bank in China, where he collected and organized information for retailed clients and provided it to manager helping him make application decisions.

To further enhance his quantitative and modeling skills and Yibing joined Cornell’s Financial Engineering program in Sep. 2010. Upon graduation from Cornell, Yibing intends to pursue a career in banking and trading where he hope to apply all the skills and knowledge

In his spare time, Yibing enjoys playing basketball, ping pong, poker and E-sports games.
