Julie Putzak graduated from Cornell University in 2013 with a B.S. in Operations Research and Engineering. Julie is a recipient of the Lester B. Knight Scholarship, which recognizes a top student and leader in the engineering school who has also developed a strong foundation in business. She also received the Samuel L. Dell Fellowship, which is awarded to an ORIE undergraduate pursuing an M.Eng. who has demonstrated strong ethical grounding and leadership capability, is a team contributor, and has a fundamental understanding of the application of theory to practical business problems.

Julie has gained experience in both consulting and banking through her internships. This past summer, she worked within the market risk reporting team at Citigroup, aiding in the generation and efficiency improvement of various daily and weekly reports. Previously, she completed Cornell Engineering’s Co-operative Education Program at the government consulting firm LMI, where she updated a data validation procedure alongside various other logistics-focused projects.

Julie is chair of the Master of Engineering Student Leadership Committee and has been recognized as a Cornell University Global Fellow for her international experience. In her spare time, she enjoys volleyball, spinning, and cooking.
