Chong Wang earned his M.S. degree in Statistics from Rutgers University in 2007. Prior to his graduate studies, he obtained his B.S. degree in Mathematics/Statistics with distinction from Nankai University in China in 2005.

Upon graduation from Rutgers University, Chong worked as credit analyst with California Pacific Bank in San Francisco. In this position, he was responsible for employing the credit score model to analyze the credit risk of existing and potential clients. He was also responsible for preparing the interest rate analysis reports and establishing statistical model to help upper management to determine the interest rates to optimize the bank’s deposit portfolio.

To further enhance his quantitative and financial skills, Chong joined the Financial Engineering program at Cornell University in fall 2010. Upon graduation, he intends to continue his financial career in sales and trading, investment banking or risk management areas where he could bring into full play his quantitative and analytical skills, and further hone his financial skills through professional practices.   

In his spare time, Chong enjoys football, basketball and chess.
