Transcript - Many Concentrations

The program here at Cornell, the MEng program in OR, has a total of six different concentrations—Data Analytics, Financial Engineering, Semester in Strategic Operations, Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Applied OR. Upon graduating from college, I went into IT consulting. I really enjoyed just analyzing data, writing queries, and things like that for data analysis. And that's exactly why I went into data analytics.

I spent one semester with engineering school going through the regular technical electives. And then, I came over to the Johnson Graduate School of Management to take business school courses. Now, that is something that not a lot of schools let you do—let engineers go through an MBA-style program.

I would like to utilize my quantitative tools in a finance job upon graduation. And Financial Engineering gives me a flexibility in choosing courses from either engineering or business school.
