Binlu Cheng earned her B.S. degree with distinction in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Waterloo, which is the best polytechnic university in Canada. During her internship at Citic Securities Company, she analyzed macroeconomic data from various commercial banks, trust companies, and insurance firms to aid clients’ investment decisions. She also collaborated with her teammates to publicize research results in a famous national finance magazine for State Grid Corporation of China. When Binlu was an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant in Statistics department. The research she conducted was applying Monte Carlo method to Sobol indices to estimate the dependence of output variability to input in linear regression model. She also got certificates of distinction in American and Canadian Mathematical Competition. Until now, Binlu has passed P, FM, MLC, MFE of SOA exams and finished all the VEE requirements. During her spare time, she enjoys calligraphy, swimming and playing badminton.

Binlu is looking forward a challenging opportunity in field of finance consulting to expose her creativity and quantitative skills. With an open mind and a burning desire to win, she is very confident that she will succeed in her study and her future career through relentless diligence.
