Qianyun Huang graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington in Seattle where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and mathematics. With excellent academic performance, she was awarded the Certificate of High Scholarship for four years.

Qianyun has multiple internship experiences in financial services institutions through which she has developed keen interest in financial markets. During her internship at the Treasury & Markets Department at DBS Bank, she assessed the pre-settlement credit risk of a major counterparty by conducting financial statement analysis. She also performed an in-depth research of the Chinese bond market through date mining analysis. Interested in fixed income, she interned at the fixed income department of China Securities, where she supported the sales team by investigating potential customers and extended her understanding of the market.

To further broaden her knowledge in quantitative methods and financial markets, Qianyun decided to join the Financial Engineering program at Cornell University. Upon graduation, she wants to utilize her quantitative and communication skills to contribute to the field of quantitative finance. She is eager to pursue a career in risk management, structuring and strategy, or sales and trading.

In her spare time, Qianyun enjoys traveling, cooking and volunteering.
