Jiahui Yi graduated Summa Cum Laude from Connecticut College. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics, as well as double minoring in Computer Science and Economics. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and awarded the distinction for highest level of honor in mathematics.

Yi has conducted research in the biomedical, pharmaceutical and financial fields. At Connecticut College, she performed biostatistical analysis on RNA-Sequencing to compute differential gene expressions between cancerous and healthy samples. She was also a research group leader at University of California, Berkeley, where she used regression and time series models to analyze the relationships between different factors on the financial health of various companies.

She has completed several internships in industries including software development and business services. As a data analyst for MickleDeals, Inc., she analyzed customer profile data, and contributed to the development of a web based searching system that enabled B2B customers to estimate the benefits and costs of advertising on the company’s website.

Yi enjoys working with people from different educational backgrounds and participating in multidisciplinary projects. She looks forward to pursuing a career in data analytics upon graduation, where she can apply statistical techniques and programming skills into the business world.

In her spare time, she loves volunteering as a finance board member for the New York City Campaign. She enjoys music composition and has played the piano for 16 years. She believes that in a working environment, creativity and diversity--along with the analytics skills--are the keys to open one’s mind for new ideas and solutions.
