Victoria Averbukh has been named the Director of Financial Engineering Manhattan, the educational and research center of the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) at 55 Broad Street in the Wall Street district of Manhattan.
Dr. Averbukh received the Ph.D. from ORIE in 1997 under the guidance of Professors David Heath and Robert Jarrow. She brings 10 years of Wall Street experience to further OR Manhattan's mission of strengthening Cornell's research collaboration with the financial services industry, achieving a balance between theory and practice.
