In June 2014 Vivienne graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Applied and Computational Mathematical Science and Statistics. She is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University, with focus on data analytics. With her econometric and statistical coursework, project experience, and her history of successful team projects, she earned her reputation for innovative mindset and affinity for problem solving.
She has acquired considerable econometric and statistical skills as an undergraduate. As a financial analyst at Topwin Futures in China, she worked closely with several trading desks and research teams at the trading division by conducting portfolio and risk analyses and preparing weekly financial performance reports. While interned there, she improved skills in quantitative analysis based on financial market research and gained exposure to different areas of portfolio management within the commodity market.
In her previous success, communication skills played an important role. As a senator of the Associated Students of the University of Washington in Seattle, she not only represented Chinese students and scholars, but also worked collaboratively between my student organization and ten other school organizations.
