Before joining the Master of Engineering program, she completed Cornell Engineering’s Co-operative Education program at Scholastic, Inc. in New York City. During her Co-Op, she had the unique opportunity to work on two pilot strategic data analysis projects with scalability potential, using tools such as Tableau Software. She successfully presented her findings to the department and senior management, resulting in the immediate launch of high-priority projects that significantly reduced manufacturing cost.
This past summer, she returned to Scholastic as an intern and worked on two new pilot strategic projects built off of the results from the high-priority projects launched during her Co-Op. In addition, she prepared materials for an external audit. Her work at Scholastic earned her a reputation of being reliable, a motivated self-starter, and a collaborative member of a cross-functional team.
Wei-Jean is currently a Teaching Assistant for the Design of Manufacturing Systems course. In her spare time, she enjoys ballroom dancing, swimming, and playing the flute.
