Suhani is currently enrolled in the Master of Engineering program, concentrating in Applied Operations Research. She graduated receiving a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay in 2014. 

In the summer of 2013, while working in the Ferguson Structural Lab at the University of Texas at Austin, Suhani discovered her natural drive towards optimization. She integrated a structural analysis software called Abaqus with a python script to optimize time and output from the simulation runs. She has also worked with Deutsche Bank in India in the previous summer for conducting cost analysis of their training expenditure. 

Suhani completed her undergraduate thesis on Artificial Neural Networks for generating stochastic wave data. At Cornell, she is focusing on learning more programming tools and techniques to support her interest in machine learning and data mining.

True to the meaning of her name, Suhani has a very pleasant personality and is a passionate musician. Her creativity and enthusiasm make her a great team player.
