Siyang Yuan graduated with High Honor from University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained a B.S. in mathematics. Siyang was awarded the Distinguished College Scholar, University Honors and several actuarial studies scholarships for being the top student in his college.

Siyang previously interned at McKinsey & Co., working with teams of corporate finance, consumer goods and metals & mining. By evaluating emerging technologies and developing manufacturing strategies for clients, Siyang gained invaluable business insights as well as strong interpersonal skills and project management. As an actuarial services intern at C.V. Starr & Co., Siyang formulated ultimate loss development factors through a triangle analysis modeling of loss data of the past 15 years.

With his financial engineering degree, Siyang is eager to consolidate quantitative and analytic skills in better understanding financial market. Upon completion of the program, he pursues a career in sales & trading or risk management to utilize financial engineering tools and leverage his passion about finance.

In his spare time, Siyang loves Texas Hold’em, piano and volleyball.
