Pihu Yadav received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. In her undergraduate thesis, she built a mobility prediction model for mobile users in cellular networks using the kernel density estimation method. With an accuracy of over 70%, her program was able to analyze a person’s historical movement pattern to predict their future trajectory.

While interning at MetLife Inc., during the summer of 2015, she studied software used in insurance processes, such as the risk modeling program used by actuaries, and suggested improvements that led to savings of 59 full-time equivalents. During her summer internship at Axtria Inc. in 2014, she optimized the assignment process of sales representatives to dealerships for an automobile trading website. She also plotted their most effective routes and centers of gravity.

She has also used her analytics skills in an academic project to compare the supply chain management systems and algorithms used by e-commerce companies in India and the U.S.

In addition to this, Pihu is also an avid tennis player and was the captain of her school tennis team and the vice-captain of her college team. She also enjoys traveling and reading novels.
