Peiyun Zhang received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Grinnell College.

In a research project he conducted in Grinnell College, he analyzed census, crime and education data of New York City with multiple regression models and Classification and Regression Tree algorithm. To further study the potential bias in the New York City Stop and Frisk policy, he created an interactive web-based visualization of racially based crimes using Shiny in R.

In another research he conducted in Carnegie Mellon University, he projected a network of colleges based on the trajectory of faculty members, and thereby, using Minimum Violation approach and Minimum Violation algorithms, created a hierarchy ranking system for colleges in United States and all over the world.

Majoring in Statistics and Data Analytics, he is seeking opportunities to combine statistical modeling, machine learning and business strategies into systematical but efficient computational solutions.

Peiyun exceptionally enjoys street dance. In college, he started an on-campus dance group with his dance buddies, performing and hosting dance lessons on a weekly base.
