Biography

Lydia Skrabonja joined the Operations Research and Information Engineering Master of Engineering program at Cornell University with a concentration in Information Technology in the fall of 2013. She received her bachelor’s degree in Operations Research Engineering from Cornell University in the spring of 2013.

Lydia is a 2012 Kessler Fellow, a John McMullen Dean’s Scholar, and an Engineering Global Fellow. Most of her internship experience has focused on companies in start-up mode. During one of those experiences she was able to perform business as well as engineering tasks, serving as Scum Master, conducting client training, designing interfaces, and contributing to an NSA grant as well as being a front end web developer. The work she performed that summer helped enable the company up to raise $500 thousand in first-round funding.

In her free time, Lydia enjoys helping build sets in the theatre department’s scene shop and playing on her intramural flag football and inner tube water polo teams.
