Biography

Karen Cronk received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, graduating with distinction from Cornell University in May 2016. Her undergraduate studies focused on signal processing and embedded systems laying a strong foundation in mathematics, statistical analysis, and technical problem solving.

During her senior year at Cornell, Karen was a member of Cornell’s Computer Vision and Image Analysis (VIA) research group. Utilizing her strong engineering background, Karen developed and implemented novel digital image scaling and feature tracking algorithms as well as developed other computer vision (CV) algorithms contributing to the group’s CV libraries.

Karen’s objective in pursuing her M.Eng. in Operations Research and Information Engineering is to strengthen her skills in machine learning, optimization, and simulation and modeling.  

In her time off, Karen enjoys cooking and traveling. She also greatly enjoys the outdoors, spending time hiking and rock climbing.
