Areas of Interest: Risk management, strategy and modeling, or quantitative research

Junkai Zhang graduated with honor from The Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Science in 2012. As a result of his excellent academic performance, he was awarded the International Undergraduate Scholarship for four years.

Junkai witnessed the immediate benefit and the positive influence that financial products could have on the society and in people's lives while performing internships in the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China(ICBC) in 2009 and 2011. During the 2011 internship in ICBC, he utilized the analytical skills analyzing bonds returns and recommended investment portfolios based on investors' risk profiles.

To further extend his knowledge in quantitative and modeling methods, Junkai decided to pursue a master degree in Financial Engineering program at Cornell University. With strong analytical and communication skills, Junkai intends to seek a career in risk management, strategy and modeling, or quantitative research upon graduation.

Junkai enjoys ping pang, swimming and playing poker in his spare time.
