 James Feng graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in mathematics. What a passion for the financial services industry, he decided to attend the Financial Engineering graduate program at Cornell University.

In the summer of 2015, he worked at the Federal Home Loan Bank as a Capital Markets intern. He conducted a Comprehensive Market Analysis of the Money Market Sector to project changes in money market fund compositions and developed an algorithm in VBA to estimate potential volumes of funds to be moved into government securities as a result of SEC regulations and Dodd-Frank. He also explored the market share of FHLBanks in the ETF market to estimate the potential for future business.

James has also worked on a theoretical quantitative trading model comprised of fundamental factors and price momentum and then utilized the Markowitz and Black-Litterman framework for trading commodity futures in his optimization class.

With a strong quantitative background and a deep interest in trading and risk, James would like to pursue a career in quantitative trading or risk management.
