Jiayi Zhang joined the Operations Research and Engineering program at Cornell University in August 2014. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics in May 2014 from Pennsylvania State University.

She is always willing to learn. Through self-study, she has passed the Securities and Futures Exams of China and is currently pursuing a certificate from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which is one of the largest and fastest-growing global professional accounting bodies.

Jiayi interned at the Advisory Services Department at Grant Thornton in the summer of 2013. During the internship, she was involved in a merger project. She also had experience as a Sales and Trading Analyst Intern at China Merchants Securities and participated in the private placement.

After Graduation, Jiayi wishes to work in the fields of quantitative analysis in consulting, finance or other related fields.
