Haotian Jia graduated with a Bachelor in Finance in 2010 from Tsinghua University, where he got solid training in both finance and quantitative skills. He was also honored the Merit Scholarship. During May 2010, he interned in the IBD of China International Capital Corporation (CICC), the biggest investment bank in China, where he cooperated with his team to accomplish an option issuance project for a large corporate client. In the 2009 summer intern program of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, the biggest Europe-based consulting firm, he did risk assessment, risk control and other financial analysis for a listed security firm. During the summer of 2008, he worked in HSBC as a group head to investigate local credit loan markets of Weifang, and presented the report to HSBC and sponsors to the research program.

Haotian joined the Financial Engineering program of Cornell to enhance his finance knowledge, quantitative skills and computer programming skills, with which he looks forward to contributing his value to sales & trading or asset management careers.

In his spare time, he enjoys basketball, badminton and playing poker.
