Biography

Han Li obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Financial Mathematics and Economics from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. When she was an undergraduate, she was selected as James B. Scholar for four consecutive semesters, an award to students who achieve an all “A” record for two or more consecutive terms. She also interned in Fortune link Investment Management Co., Ltd, the third largest venture capital company in China, for summer 2011 and 2012.

While interning in Fortune Link as a junior analyst in Private Equity department, Han leveraged her technical and theoretical background to generate industries reports and company reports in Chinese agriculture and new energy industries. She also conducted independent research on the outlook of Chinese disposable medical equipment market over the next ten years to support potential investment strategies.

Han joined the Master of Engineering program at Cornell University with a concentration in Financial Engineering in fall of 2012. While studying in Cornell, she hopes to broaden her knowledge in finance and derivatives and apply her technical background to quantitative finance. She will be seeking a role in financial industry upon graduation.

In her spare time, Han enjoys Chinese painting, calligraphy and swimming.
