Han Hong is a graduate student at Cornell’s Operations Research department, pursuing a Master’s degree in financial engineering. He received his Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Zhejiang University in 2014.

Before Han came to Cornell, he joined the State Key Lab of CAD&CG in Zhejiang University as a research assistant in his senior year. He was exposed to big dataset and has gained solid data analysis skills including regression analysis and machine learning. While interning at Trading Technologies as a quantitative analyst during the summer of 2015, he analyzed the statistical features of the spreads of commodity futures pairs and generated some applicable trading strategies based on the analysis.

Han enjoyed his time as a quantitative analyst and he wishes to continue his experience with quantitative trading, data analytics in finance or other related fields.
