Biography

David Lambl graduated from the University of Luxembourg with a B.S. degree in Economicsand spent two additional years studying Mathematics & Economics at the London School of Economics. Prior to joining Cornell’s MEng in Financial Engineering program, he interned for six months in Mergers & Acquisitions in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. David got a chance to work on a divestiture by a French-based listed company and did valuation of several small and mid-sized companies.

He became fascinated by the financial markets four years ago when he bought stocks in companies just before the subprime crisis started to unravel. This led him to the realization that a good understanding of more rigorous techniques and models will be necessary to succeed in the financial world and motivated him to pursue a master’s degree in Financial Engineering at the Cornell University.

After graduation, David plans to pursue a career in trading.

In his spare time, David enjoys playing tennis, poker, and skiing.
