Catherine March joined Cornell University's Operations Research Master’s of Engineering in August 2013, with completion to follow in May 2014. She holds a BA in mathematics from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis., with a minor in economics.

For the past three summers Catherine has worked as a customer service representative at her hometown bank in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. While attending St. Norbert College, she was active in the math department, being awarded a competitive math scholarship over her peers. There she also pursued her music education, acting as section leader in the premiere vocal ensemble, piano accompanist for vocal students, and as a student of both piano and voice. Her experience as a leader and team member allow her a unique perspective in an engineering program. As a proponent of a private liberal arts education, as well as a member of a prestigious master’s class at Cornell, Catherine understands the importance of melding the qualitative and quantitative aspects of Operations Research.

A true Midwesterner at heart, Catherine loves the outdoors, cross country skiing, hiking, and relaxing by a lake.
