Biography

I am a Masters of Engineering candidate in the Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) graduate program at Cornell University. I was born in Mumbai, India and currently live with my family in Livingston, N.J. Within Operations Research, my interests lie in Strategic Operations. As a graduate student, I am currently serving as the Chair of the ORIE MEng. Leadership Committee.

I earned my Bachelors of Science from Cornell University in June 2011, where I served as the Finance Director of the Society of Women Engineers, led the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS) Cornell Chapter, and was a Resident Advisor (RA) in Residential Programs. I grew both professionally and academically in these positions. In the past summers, I have interned at Lockheed Martin in Aeronautics and at Barclays Capital in their Operations program.

In addition to my extracurricular experience, my academic background has equipped me with both applicable technical and business skills. I have gained strong quantitative and analytical problem solving skills through courses in process efficiency, optimization, quality control, and systems engineering classes.
