Rajiv Patel

Raj Patel is a Partner of Farallon Capital Management, a global asset management firm based in San Francisco. Farallon pursues opportunistic investments primarily in credit, public equities, merger arbitrage, and real estate worldwide. He co-manages the U.S. credit portfolio and is a member of the firm's investment committee.

Raj started his career as an investment banking analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York before attending business school. He recently completed serving as a trustee and treasurer of the Hamlin School in San Francisco and is a current trustee at San Francisco University High School. He is active at Stanford as an executive committee member of the GSB Trust and at Cornell through the ORIE Advisory Council and the Engineering College Council. He also serves as board member or observer for numerous companies on behalf of Farallon. Raj graduated from Cornell University (BS, ORIE) as a Merrill Presidential Scholar and Stanford Graduate School of Business (MBA, finance).
