Professor Durrett came to Cornell in 1985 after nine years at the University of California at Los Angeles. He was an Alfred P. Sloan fellow from 1981 to 1983 and a Guggenheim fellow from 1989-90. He is a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. He has given one hour invited talks at the annual meetings of the Bernoulli Society, IMS and AMS and a 45 minute invited talk at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Kyoto in 1990. He is a member of the graduate field of Operations Research.
