Wall Street Journal Selects Alumnus Todd Rethemeier as a Top Analyst for a Second Year

For the second year in a row, the Wall Street Journal "Best on the Street Special Report" has named Todd Rethemeier, BS '93 MEng '94 MBA '95, as a top stock analyst. This year, Rethemeier achieved the rank of number 2 in the mobile telecommunications sector. Last year he was number 3 in the fixed line telecommunications sector.

M. Eng. Student Duncan Wong is a Grand Prize Winner in an International Trading Competition

The JP Morgan FantasyFutures game provides each contestant with a simulated futures trading account and lets them write interest rates futures contracts to capture profits from interest rate moves within the global marketplace. Duncan Wong, who came to Cornell from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, had the highest profit of all of the US participants in week seven of the eight week competition, which turned out to be the highest profit for the entire US competition. Jay Tian has won $50,000 as the second place finisher in the third annual Interactive Brokers Collegiate Trading Olympiad. Tian developed software that automatically trades options on stocks and commodity futures. Read more
